This course will introduce you to essential key concepts of community of inquiry and the three types of presence in an online course (Teacher/Instructor Presence, Social Presence, and Cognitive Presence). It prepares you to plan effective communication strategies and learning activities to create an engaging online course. Activities challenge you to demonstrate your understanding of the importance of presence in an online classroom. You will explore emerging technologies to develop collaborative engagement and enhance learning and teaching presence in an online learning environment.
