Lab Safety for Students. Completion of the Laboratory Safety Training is required before you begin your coursework each school year. This course is valid until August 15, 2021.

 

Training must be completed one business day before your scheduled lab meeting to ensure that the instructor has up-to-date completion records. The course is self-paced and can be accessed at anytime at your convenience.  It is up to your instructor to verify your course completion.

 

In this course you will learn: 

 

How to read and interpret  information presented on safety data sheets (SDS). 

How to identify chemical, biological, and radiation hazards present in the lab.

How to identify and use various safety equipment.

How to protect yourself from the various lab hazardous using personal protective equipment (PPE).
